A top sports physiologist estimated about 90% of elite athletes use chiropractic. If you exercise but aren't using chiropractic "are you missing out?"

In order to determine the cause of your pain, your Chiropractor will conduct a full physical, orthopaedic and neurological examination. You will be asked to perform range of motion and muscle strength tests. Where the pain is felt, both at rest and during movement will provide valuable information to determine the cause of the pain. Specialized diagnostic tests such as x-ray, Ultrasound and/or MRI scans maybe necessary.

The focus is on diagnosing your injury but at the same time chiropractic it is also assessing underlying causes behind the injury. Is there poor core stability? Is there muscular imbalances? Is there biomechanics weakness? Is it just poor conditioning?

Arm pain for instance is certainly one of the most frequent complaints in chiropractic. There are many causes, perhaps a fall years ago injured the acromioclavicular joint on the tip of the shoulder. Or perhaps a spurt of spring cleaning inflamed structures. But most commonly it is an old injury to the neck, or first rib. By irritating the nerve roots that supply the arm, the muscles become weaker and vulnerable to injury. The rotator cuff muscles may be compromised. Tingling in the arms and hands is a frequent result.

There are numerous sites in the arm where the nerve can be irritated...

At Springwood Chiropractic we determine the cause and diagnosis of your injury. Specific, individualised, and evidence based treatment plans are then tailored for your condition making us the first choice Chiropractor in Springwood and Blue Mountains.
